Lincoln Electric: Cutting solutions at Euroblech

In October, Lincoln Electric demonstrated some of its cutting solutions at Euroblech 2016 in Hanover, Germany. Lincoln’s CNC plasma cutting systems are delivered fully assembled so that work can start immediately. The Torchmate is equipped with a water table, an integrated HMI touchscreen, a user console with an adjustable mounting arm and a proprietary motion control system

Lorch’s new S-series at Euroblech

One of Lorch’s highlights at Euroblech 2016 was the new S-series. The company’s flagship product takes MIG-MAG welding to a new level of excellence. It now offers a new patented control technology named SpeedPulse XT which is combined with variable arc length control and dynamic control.

NCH Europe – Protective permanent coatings

NCH Europe’s aerosol coatings “HyZinc Extra“ and “AL217“ provide long-term protection against corrosion. The coatings offer high adhesion and rapid drying and are available in an aerosol spray for ease of application. They are ideal for everything from weather-worn construction environments to chemical manufacturing plants where pipes regularly corrode.

Huntingdon Fusion introduces super-heavy-duty weld backing tape

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT has recently developed the super-heavy-duty Argweld weld backing tape. It provides the support to produce perfect weld underbeads when welding with currents of up to 600 amps. Argweld is a glass fibre weld backing system which supports and protects the weld root from oxidation.

voestalpine Böhler Welding – Vacuum packaging for stick electrodes

voestalpine Böhler Welding‘s “Dry System” ensures the availability of ready-to-use, dry electrodes until the moment of welding. It is an efficient alternative to costly climate-controlled storage and handling procedures. The use of “Dry System“ avoids the necessity of redrying and the use of holding ovens and quivers in welding applications with a potential risk of hydrogen-induced or hydrogen-assisted cracking.

CWA Foundation – Mind Over Metal

The CWA Foundation was founded in 2013. The foundation’s key mandates are to support public safety awareness and to address the skilled welding labour shortage in Canada. Since 2014, the foundation’s Mind Over Metal Camps have been giving at-risk youths the opportunity to have a unique welding experience.
